Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create continued sales growth within a defined territory, in an exemplary and professional fashion
  • Support lead generation and prospect meeting development in the assigned Area/Territory that is consistent with strategic goals and corporate vision
  • Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential dental customers.
  • Focuses sales efforts by targeting ideal dental customer segments.
  • Seek out broader relationships within the account to help facilitate networking and prospecting
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files necessary for proper management of territory
  • Support Professional Education activities to support sales cycle.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as call reports, work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Engage KOL’s and Influencer customers in peer-to-peer meeting opportunities
  • Support customer referral events
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Must have the ability to engage and service customers that will drive continued product utilization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary representation toward external community
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Minimum 5 years of directly related sales experience required
  • Must have a successful track record of selling medical device disruptive products and/or procedures
  • Experience in dental device industry preferred
