Summary:

The Global Vice President/GM Commercial will provide overall strategic and operating direction to the Global Business in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team of the company.  She/he will be expected to collaborate with senior executives to establish goals and objectives as well as the creation and execution of strategic plans and tactics to achieve those objectives. Primary responsibility is the execution of the global strategic plan to drive revenue and income growth through exceptional strategic commercial acumen and geographic expansion in well-qualified markets.

The ideal candidate will be motivated and bring deep commercial experience to oversee day-to-day operations and win new business.  She/he must have the ability to identify, pursue and capture new business opportunities. They will furthermore act as a change agent, and significantly contribute to the further development and transformation of the US organization into a more agile and dynamic company, centered around empowered employees as well as managing the International Indirect Channel and expand the business geographically. The Global Vice President/GM Commercial will report directly to the CEO.

 

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

 We are looking for a skilled and experienced commercial leader, ideally with experience in the Medical Device industry.  The ideal candidate should have a successful track record including:

  • Profound and deep experience from & knowledge about the medical device business, including the regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to establish a strong commercial platform in the US, with growing customer base, high performing organization and market seeding/ preparation for the next big launch.
  • Represent a strong, dynamic and mature leadership aimed at developing and empowering people. The person needs to inspire, create engagement, nurture high integrity, and lead the organization to excel!
  • Have the capability to drive sales growth, market penetration with a differentiated technology and create a strong business in a key market - includes strategic thinking and operative team leadership.
  • Develop and execute the US and International strategy. Build and execute the business plan, delivery systems & metrics.
  • Capability to continue to drive our culture towards desired state, centered around the values, vision, and value proposition to clients.
  • Key contributor in the Global Management Team, contributing to the global view.
  • Ability to maneuver efficiently in a global organization, collaborate and constructively interact with all cross functionally.
  • Familiarity with and understanding of regulatory requirements and processes for the product range.
  • Strong relationship management skills; proven track record of producing results in a matrix structure.
  • Knowledge and experience in cross/multi-functional areas.
  • The ability to develop, implement and support all aspects of expanding and positioning the product portfolio.
  • Ability to make hard and fast decisions.

Overall, the Global VP/GM Commercial will be a results-driven executive with a proven record of accomplishment in achieving healthy financial growth through organic and inorganic means.

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree.  MBA and/or advanced degree preferred.
