A dominate and long-established publishing and digital services group specializing in oral healthcare is seeking an experienced Business Director to oversee a “Family” of publications, websites, events and digital offerings to a wide international audience of oral care professionals.
This leadership position reports direct to CEO and has responsibility for the editorial, production and sales staff of 3 publications, as well as 8 direct reports and oversight of centralized services as they relate to the brands (creative, digital, data).
Responsibilities include; strategic sales planning and execution, personnel management, brand development, audience development, and marketing & sales oversight. Ideal candidate must have excellent personnel skills, mission and market cognizance, and the drive to grow market share of audience and revenues to a lead position.
10 years sales experience in commercial healthcare- ideally dentistry
Experience in building strategic plans for sales team growth and development including account and activity planning and development
Experience mentoring, training, and developing high performance sales teams
Responsible for leading and/or mentoring other sales personnel on sales procedures, industry techniques, as assigned
Solid track record of driving new opportunities
Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiating skills to ensure issues are identified early and feasible solutions are developed on a timely basis
Strong leadership, influence, and relationship building skills
Experience in developing and executing a strategic growth plan for specified region
Self-motivated and flexible, ability to adapt quickly to change
A creative thinker who can leverage a proven current process, and iterative to improve it over time, and as the needs of the company and customers change
